Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th Anniversary celebration is officially ending on June 7, and honestly… this is your final call to experience the magic before it’s gone.
I’ve already visited Hong Kong Disneyland 5 times — twice last January and 3 more times this May — and somehow every visit still felt magical in a completely different way.
Between the anniversary-exclusive entertainment, the Friendtastic! parade, the nighttime castle atmosphere, and the Magic Passport stamp hunt, this honestly became one of my favorite Disney celebrations ever.

Before going to Hong Kong Disneyland, make sure to download the official Hong Kong Disneyland app because it honestly makes the entire experience so much easier.
The app helps you:

I personally kept checking the app throughout the day to decide whether to watch a show, line up for rides, or catch character appearances.

My Favorite Part: The Anniversary Castle Show
One of my absolute favorite parts of the 20th Anniversary celebration is the anniversary castle stage show.
There’s just something emotional about standing in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams while the music, lights, projections, and performances all come together.
The atmosphere becomes even more magical at night.
Once the castle lights up and the music starts playing, the entire park feels different. Even after visiting Hong Kong Disneyland multiple times, it still gives me that magical Disney feeling every single visit.
The nighttime lighting around Main Street U.S.A. and the castle area also makes everything feel extra dreamy, especially for photos and videos.
If you love emotional Disney moments, beautiful visuals, and magical nighttime experiences, this is definitely something you shouldn’t skip.
Friendtastic! Parade Tips
The Friendtastic! parade is honestly one of the best Disney parades I’ve watched.
The energy is incredible, the music is catchy, and seeing all the Disney characters pass by makes the entire experience feel so festive.
If you want a good viewing spot, I highly recommend going early because the parade route fills up very quickly.
Some guests already reserve spots long before the parade starts.
Here are my parade tips:
- Arrive early for better viewing
- Bring a handheld fan
- Sit somewhere shaded if possible
- Prepare your camera before the floats arrive
- Stay near corners for better character interactions
Honestly, even the excitement before the parade starts already adds to the atmosphere.
The Magic Passport Stamp Hunt Became One of My Favorite Souvenirs
One of the most fun things I did during the 20th Anniversary celebration was collecting stamps using the Magic Passport.
I bought mine for 129 HKD, and there are actually 2 versions available — so make sure to get the English version.
You can usually find it in almost every merchandise shop around the park.
Some stamps are automatic machines while others require you to stamp them manually yourself — and honestly, that makes it even more fun.
Each page shows you exactly where to find the stamps around the park, so it feels like a mini treasure hunt across Disneyland.
Instead of rushing through rides, I recommend collecting stamps naturally while exploring each land.
If the outdoor stamp cart is closed, don’t worry. You can simply go to the nearest merchandise shop to collect your stamp instead.
Once you complete all the stamps, head back to Main Street U.S.A. to claim your reward:
the limited 20th Anniversary Gold Medallion.
It honestly became one of my favorite Disney souvenirs ever.

Food Tips Inside Hong Kong Disneyland
Food lines inside Hong Kong Disneyland can get very long during peak meal hours, so planning ahead really helps.
One thing I learned after multiple visits is to buy meal vouchers in advance because it saves both time and money.
I also highly recommend eating before the actual lunch rush starts because restaurants become extremely crowded around noon.
My usual strategy:
- Early lunch before noon
- Late snacks afterward
- Bring a reusable water bottle
- Buy drinks early
- Use mobile ordering if available
Staying hydrated is especially important because you’ll be walking around the park all day.
Is the Early Entry Pass Worth It?
For me — yes, especially if it’s your first time visiting Hong Kong Disneyland.
The Early Entry Pass gives you extra time to enjoy selected attractions before regular guests enter the park.
This means:
- shorter ride lines,
- better castle photos,
- less stress,
- and more rides before crowds arrive.
It’s especially useful if you want:
- photos without crowds,
- earlier Frozen access,
- smoother itinerary planning,
- or more relaxed mornings.
Honestly, it’s one of the best add-ons if you want to maximize your visit.
Best Photo Spots in Hong Kong Disneyland
